About Us

Our History

Rotary Place was the vision of the Rotary Club of Bolton in the early 1990’s. With hard work and determination the building was constructed and opened in November 1995. In 2011 Rotary Place was passed to the Town of Caledon as a capital asset.

The Caledon Seniors Centre has provided programs for the 55+ for over 25 years! We have seen an increasing membership, an amazing volunteer presence and outstanding staff and volunteer leadership. In 2018 we opened up 5 satellite locations throughout Caledon.

Our goal is to continue to grow and serve our fabulous 55+ members! We operate with a small part-time staff and the commitment of wonderful volunteers. We thank everyone that has helped us along the way and look forward to your continued support.

The Town of Caledon, Provincial Grants, local service clubs, generous businesses and individual supporters have made our expansion a reality!

Our Purpose

The Caledon Senior Centre was established in 1995. Many years have passed since then bringing great change and growth to both our membership and programs/activities. We are proud to state we have remained true to our original purpose as established in 1995.

“To relieve loneliness and isolation of the aged by establishing, operating and maintaining a senior citizens centre to provide recreation, education and other programs for senior citizens”

COVID-19

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to inform you about our cautious approach to some of the changes to the COVID-19 rules.

The Caledon Seniors Centre has decided that currently we will continue with our cautious approach as we are dealing with the vulnerable sector.

To come to the Centre you must have been vaccinated for the Corona Virus a minimum of 2 doses and you must complete a COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire on each visit. Wearing a mask is optional. This was updated May 26 and will be reviewed monthly. We trust you appreciate the necessity to be cautious as Ontario begins to open gradually.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 905-951-6114.

Sincerely,
Beverley Nurden
